We are happy to announce the opening of our Optical Shop located adjacent to our waiting room.

Our practice specializes in both pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus.   Please be advised that as of February 1, 2008 we no longer participate in United Healthcare or Oxford insurance companies.  Also, we now participate in Aetna.  See our insurance page for full listings.

We perform a wide range of services for the pediatric age group, from routine eye exams to major ophthalmic surgery.  This includes operations for strabismus (crossed eyes,) pediatric cataracts, congenital and juvenile glaucoma, congenital ptosis (droopy eyelid,)  and others.  As pediatric ophthalmologists, our doctors have done extra training beyond the standard residency of a general ophthalmologist.  Our office is set up specifically for the pediatric age group and is child friendly.

In addition to serving the pediatric age group, we also specialize in correction of strabismus in adults.  In adults, this problem can cause diplopia (double vision) and can cause great difficulties.  These people often have had prior surgeries for strabismus, or have a significant underlying medical problem causing the eye turn.  General ophthalmologists do not routinely handle such patients often refer them to a pediatric ophthalmologist.
